- Is it a subscription?
- No. One payment. Personal includes a year of updates from the day you buy; Pro includes every update we ever ship. Your app keeps working either way.
- Do I need a licence to try it?
- No. Download it and record, edit and preview freely. You will be asked for a licence when you export a video.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. The licence is verified on your machine. It checks in quietly every couple of weeks when it can, with a month of grace after that.
- New laptop?
- Deactivate the old one from your account page, or just activate the new one if you have a free seat.
- Refunds?
- Fourteen days, no questions. Email hello@smoothcut.studio with your order id. The full policy is at /refunds.
