Sharing a link

Sharing is optional. Nothing is uploaded unless you press Share.

How it works

1. Press Share in the editor.
2. The link is copied to your clipboard straight away. The video uploads as it renders, so you can paste the link while it finishes.
3. Anyone with the link can watch in a browser. They do not need an account or the app.

What viewers can do

Viewers can react at a moment in the video and leave a comment with a timestamp. To comment, a viewer only gives a name.

Managing a link

• Password-protect a link, so having the address is not enough to watch.
• Republish a new cut to the same address, so a link you already sent stays current.
• Extend or delete a share from your account.

A share expires 90 days after it is made unless you extend it, and expired shares are deleted. Links are unlisted, not private: anyone who has one can watch, which is what the password is for.

Storage for hosted shares is limited per licence. The figure is shown in your account.
