Sound: voice, music and voice-over

Microphone and system audio

Your microphone and the computer's own sound are recorded as separate tracks, each with its own level. Balance them after recording rather than guessing beforehand.

Studio voice

Studio voice removes steady background noise -- a fan, air conditioning, hum -- with a neural denoiser that runs on your computer, then levels and warms your voice. It is on by default.

  • Choose one of three strengths, or turn it off.
  • It plays that way in the editor, so what you hear is what exports.

Silences and filler words

Long pauses can be tightened and filler words found in the transcript and removed. Every cut appears on the timeline, where you can undo it.

Music

Add music from the Audio tab. Pick a track from the built-in library or import your own file. Music plays under the recording and dips on its own whenever you speak.

Voice-over

Record the screen first and talk afterwards. A voice-over is recorded from the playhead while the preview plays, so your narration is timed to what is on screen. Redo any line without touching the recording.
